I, however, think in the 31 years of our new democracy we have never been so close to major, positive change. *** *** : SMS Of The Day IN the face of ever-destructive government policies, many Namibians appear to have lost hope. They are only dispensing Sinopharm boosters to Sinopharm-jabbed people. I was turned away as I received the AstraZeneca double jabs previously. *** *** : SMS Of The Day AFTER listening to the president addressing the nation on Monday, I went to the Eros vaccination centre to get a booster jab.

This comes from people who have been employed by the government since forever, the people whose families are getting fishing quotas, who get tenders from the government, who get tax-free salaries with full benefits, who themselves don't want to leave the employment of the government even when reaching retirement age. Mr President, with you as an example of how a government official can amass a net worth in excess of N$50 million at the time when you became president, how can you not expect every young Namibian to aspire to work for the government? It seems to be extremely lucrative! *** *** : SMS Of The Day 'THE government is not God, create your own jobs'.

In the previous election campaign, the president promised job creation and reducing the unemployment rate, which we all know has come to nothing. *** *** : SMS Of The Day 'THE government is not God, create your own jobs'. Everyone who loots public money must be sent to prison, and no bail must be granted. *** *** : SMS Of The Day WE must set up measures to control money in Namibia. So they would rather destroy vaccines than give them to those who want boosters? What sort of Covid-19 management is this? Please explain, Kalumbi Shangula. On Saturday I went to a vaccination centre to enquire whether it's safe and good to get a booster shot, but was told the government has not approved booster shots. *** *** : SMS Of The Day SO our government intends to destroy thousands of expiring vaccines. What kind of nonsense is this from the government? Nobody would want to repeat the tiring and frustratingly slow process of obtaining ID cards just to get the new-look cards. We stand in queues for days, not being assisted unless you go to their offices as early as 04:00. *** *** : SMS Of The Day HOW can the ministry of home affairs start with a process of issuing new ID cards when they are already failing with issuing the old ID cards? We have to wait for months to receive our ID cards. May the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Jesus Christ. *** *** : SMS Of The Day I WANT to salute our healthcare workers and security forces for a job well done during the Covid-19 pandemic. Teach our young people to be self-reliant and to form their own cooperatives. It is precisely this idea that gives rise to massive unemployment. *** : SMS Of The Day THE idea that the education system should meet the demands of the labour market is laughable. Proceeds from the sale of the commemorative notes that amounted to N$480 000 were donated to the Save the Rhino Trust Namibia, as part of the bank's efforts to save the black rhino from extinction.
The N$30 banknote was issued to celebrate Namibia's 30th independence anniversary and symbolises the smooth transition of power between three presidents, peace and stability. “They further look at visual artistry and high levels of technical and security sophistication, with considerable emphasis on reflecting the cultural heritage of the issuing country in the note, and the relevance of the overall design and symbolism to the issuing country.” “Reconnaissance High-Security Printing internationally recognises outstanding achievement in the design, technical sophistication and security of a banknote or banknote series, which is the key judging criteria,” she said in a statement issued on Monday. Winning the award was a significant achievement for the Bank of Namibia as this is the first commemorative banknote designed and issued by the bank.īank of Namibia director of banking services Sencia Kaizemi-Rukata said the award demonstrates the quality of the N$30 banknote and is a validation that the banknote has the latest high security features in the international currency industry.
